Finding My Way Back — One U-Turn at a Time

It’s funny how “adventure” and “drifting off course” usually end up being the same thing in my life.

On Highway 1 years ago, I swear every sign said “Route 1 → this way,” yet somehow I found myself in places no map intended… including a strawberry field. Just me, a convertible, and the realization that I’d taken “scenic route” to an entirely new level.

And honestly?

This week has felt the same.

Circles.

Detours.

Corners at 100 mph.

The holiday season is here, and by mid-week, I feel like I’m drifting off course more than driving it.

But then Wednesday hits.

The coffee kicks in.

The clarity starts returning.

And suddenly, even with a few U-turns behind me, I’m heading in the right direction again.

Some weeks are like reading a good book, setting it down, and forgetting where you left off, flipping back pages trying to find your place.

I’m okay, though.

And I remind myself: it’s okay to be okay.

It’s okay to recalibrate, to drift a little, to circle until the rhythm clicks again.

By Wednesday, I start to feel like myself.

And with a full cup of coffee… here we go.

Coffee:

Where did you drift this week, and what’s your small U-turn that gets you back?
