The Ordinary Moments That Matter

Tuesday is that bridge in Thanksgiving week, not quite the rush of Monday, not yet the pause of Wednesday. It’s the space in between, where the quiet things finally speak.

I’ve been thinking about how much of my life has been shaped by moments that never made it into photos or posts:

The early mornings when the house is silent, and the world hasn’t woken up yet. Coffee brewing while the dog follows me around, convinced he’s part of the morning routine.

Driving before sunrise, that thin strip of blue in the sky reminds me that a new day is coming, whether I’m ready or not. A quick text from one of my girls that grounds me more than they realize. My wife, exhausted but still showing up with heart.

None of these moments is significant.
None is loud.
None demands attention.
But they’re the ones that hold me steady.

We spend so much time looking for the “big moments,” but the truth is this:

Gratitude lives in the quiet. Purpose grows in the ordinary. Rhythm is built in the in-between.

And this week, with the world spinning fast, I’m choosing to slow down and appreciate the small things, because they’re usually the things that matter most.

First Coffee Sip Reflection:

What’s one ordinary moment today that you’re grateful for, the small thing that brings you back to center?
