WEEK SIX — When Change Changes Other People
There’s a moment in change that no one talks about.
It’s not when you lose the weight.
Not when the routine sticks.
Not when 5am feels normal.
It’s when someone looks at you and asks:
“What are you doing differently?”
That’s when you realize it’s no longer just discipline.
It’s influence.
I didn’t set out to inspire anyone.
I just kept showing up.
Two alarms.
Coffee before sunrise.
Orangetheory booked before travel.
Running without music.
Fasting days that reset my focus.
Wine enjoyed intentionally, not impulsively.
Over time, something shifted.
Conversations changed.
Energy changed.
Expectations changed.
Not because I preached it.
Because I embodied it.
Change becomes leadership when it stops being about results
and starts being about standards.
People don’t follow motivation.
They follow consistency.
And if you’re a builder of people — like I try to be —
your habits are never private.
They set tone.
They set pace.
They give others permission to raise their own bar.
That’s the hidden responsibility of change.
It spreads.
Quietly.
And one day you realize
it’s not about maintaining it anymore.
It’s about modeling it.
